Chan Wai Sum, Sam
Spatial Design | Architect
Sam is a Hong Kong-based architect with a Master of Architecture from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and currently serves as a tutor of Spatial Studies at the Hong Kong Institute of Contemporary Culture Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity.
His work emphasises the interaction between humans and everyday spaces and objects. Notable projects include FM108, to…, exhibited at the deTour 2021 and a finalist in the 28th ifva Festival, as well as the curation of the multimedia exhibition Treeology in 2023.
Since 2023, Sam has contributed to Project Plum Grove at CUHK’s School of Architecture as Project Architect for the Old House Phase 2 restoration and curator of community activities in Mui Tsz Lam.
