Chick Kar Yi, Priscilla
Spatial Design | Graduate of University of Hong Kong (Architecture)
Priscilla Chick is an architectural designer operating at the intersection of cultural preservation and spatial innovation. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies (2023) and Master of Architecture (2026) from The University of Hong Kong, she witnessed the rapid sanitization of local streetscapes, fueling her conviction that architecture need not erase the past to serve the future. This perspective was profoundly enriched by studying Europe's active preservation of historical layers during an exchange at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

Guided by her philosophy, Translating the Invisible: Rescripting Memory and Locality in Contemporary Architecture, Priscilla refuses to treat heritage as static relics. Instead, she transforms failing infrastructure into new typologies for public life. Her award-winning master’s thesis, The Temporal Palimpsest, re-engineers Hong Kong’s buried waterways and sterile infrastructure to unearth invisible urban memories—crafting resilient, bio-filtering landscapes that invite communities to re-engage with their ecological origins.

Integrating cross-cultural methodologies in adaptive reuse and craft-based tectonics, her aim is to cure social alienation—designing permeable, memory-driven civic spaces that empower the public to shape a city that truly belongs to them.
