Szeto Tsz Yui, Terence
Spatial Design | Graduate of University of Hong Kong (Architecture)
Terence Szeto began his architectural education at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2019, undertook exchange at The National University of Singapore in 2025 and completed Master of Architecture at The University of Hong Kong in 2026.

His work primarily focuses on digital computation as he believes these tools can radically expand what designers can imagine and realise. He sees the role of digital tools critical in making ambitious and innovative architecture technically, structurally and economically viable. Fascinated by nature's intelligent use of limited resources in their form and structure, Terence is particularly interested in structural optimisation and resource-efficient architectural systems.

Terence's thesis research, entitled Bamboo Towers: Digital Design Methodology for Bamboo High-Rise Architecture, investigates how advanced computational design methodologies can expand the opportunities for permanent bamboo architecture at an urban scale. The work has been nominated by HKU Department of Architecture for the ARCASIA Thesis of the Year 2026, and is continuing to be developed towards academic publication for engagement with the international computational design and bamboo architecture community.
