Hung Wai Yin, Louis
Spatial Design | Architect, Researcher and Educator
Louis is a Hong Kong–based architect, researcher, and educator who believes design is a means to reconnect people, places, and memories—enriching the urban fabric by weaving together the old and the new. Through architecture rooted in community and culture, he is committed to bridging past and future, local and global.
His award-winning projects—spanning buildings, interiors, installations, and furniture—have been exhibited internationally in Milan, Belgium, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen. Louis is passionate about exploring architecture’s potential as a platform for dialogue, reflection, and cultural continuity, driving societal development through design.
As an educator, Louis has taught at the University of Hong Kong, Oslo School of Architecture and Design, University of Plymouth, and Hong Kong Design Institute. He embeds his design ethos into pedagogy, nurturing architects who view design as a cultural practice.
