HKDI Young Design Talent Award 2025
Cheung Ho Yin, Vincent
Fashion & Accessory Design | Graduate of HKDI (Fashion Design - Knitwear)
Vincent is a Fashion Design (Knitwear) graduate from the Hong Kong Design Institute, who excels in blending Eastern aesthetics with a contemporary global vision, earning him the Third Prize in the 2025 Hong Kong Young Knitwear Designers' Contest.
Vincent is passionate about exploring contemporary interpretations of local cultural elements and traditional craftsmanship, his two collections draw inspiration from the nowadays learning experiences of Hong Kong students and the interactive relationship between ancient bamboo slips and human beings. By employing innovative knitting techniques and modern materials, he reimagines traditional symbols to create a fashion narrative that combines cultural depth with contemporary sensibility.
Vincent’s ultimate vision is to establish a fashion brand dedicated to knitwear and the revival of traditional craftsmanship. Through design as a medium, he aims not only to preserve and pass on disappearing artisanal traditions but also to infuse them with new vitality —allowing the world to appreciate the profound spirituality and beauty of local culture.
