Ball Cheung Yiu Fai is an award-winning industrial designer with an engineering background and over 15 years of experience. His work bridges culture, craftsmanship, technology, and ecology, with a focus on creating meaningful design solutions that respond to societal needs. He believes design goes beyond aesthetics, aiming to achieve harmony between materials, people, and environment. In 2025, he launched “Play to Age,” a social innovation project that supports elderly individuals with cognitive impairments through design-led interventions.
As President of the Industrial Designers Society of Hong Kong (IDSHK), Ball plays a key role in promoting the growth of the local design industry. He fosters cross-disciplinary and cross-regional collaboration, strengthening connections between designers, industry, and emerging talent. Through initiatives such as “Remix,” supported by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, he drives innovation, encourages knowledge exchange, and advances Hong Kong’s presence in the global design landscape.
