Louisa Young has been actively involved in HKIDA since 2003 and is presently the Chairman. Being the Chairlady of the Hong Kong Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards for five years, she gained valuable insights into the exquisite tastes, visions and standards of the current reputable interior designers from local and overseas, and has infused such sights into her design and teaching. Louisa launched [ Certified Interior Designer ] certification in 2018, with the mission to standardize the professionalism of Interior Design education, and to further promote Interior Design as a professional occupation. She is also working on endorsing the diploma and degree programs in Hong Kong, with the vision to discover the distinctive talents in students and assist them to excel to the best of their natural endowment and potential. Louisa was invited to join Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of academic and Vocational Qualification appointed as a Specialist of HKCAAVQ since 2019.
