Rainy Chan is the Executive Director of Hong Kong Design Centre. With over two decades of international management experience, Rainy has held key leadership roles across renowned hospitality and lifestyle brands, including Chanintr Living and The Peninsula Hotels. Named Virtuoso’s ‘Hotelier of the Year’ in 2014, she excels in nurturing talents while balancing tradition with innovation.
Rainy has been a strong advocate for Hong Kong's narrative and its people. During her tenure at The Peninsula, she orchestrated the publication of "Our Hong Kong", a book featuring a curated series of personal stories along the city's lesser-travelled routes; and spearheaded the ‘Love Art at The Peninsula’ initiative, which led to a collaboration with London’s prestigious Royal Academy of Arts.
Rainy is dedicated to community engagement and has served on the Board of Directors for Make-A-Wish Hong Kong. She is also a Selection Committee Member of the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme at the Hong Kong Immigration Department, and a Co-Opted Member of the Major Development Committee of Hong Kong Ocean Park.
