Joanne Chow founded A Matter of Design in 2012 and introduced Denmark’s retail furniture chain BoConcept and the British lighting and furniture brand Tom Dixon to the Hong Kong market. Additionally, Joanne actively participates in Hong Kong’s fashion and manufacturing community. In 2018 Joanne started azalvo, a fashion and lifestyle ideas lab and co-creation community for young designers and original designer brands. She is also a general committee member of Federation of Hong Kong Industries; vice-chairperson, Group 12 (Knit Garments), Federation of Hong Kong Industries; member of Young Executive Council under Federation of Hong Kong Industries; committee member of Vocational Training Council – Fashion and Textile Training Board (FTTB), member of Hong Kong Design Council; and a Design Trustee of Design Trust (an Initiative of the Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design), and a Board Member of Hong Kong Design Council.
